Swiss Connection

Swiss Connection is the Swiss Church’s Youth programme.

If you are between 18 and 28 old you are welcome to join us, regardless of your beliefs. You don't have to be a member. Just choose the events you like on our programme and join us for social gatherings and outings.

Programme for JULY/SEPTEMBER 2008




Saturday, 6th September, King's Cross station, 9:30am

CAMBRIDGE, Cost: £9.25

 

...home to the famous university, Cambridge is a compact cosmopolitan city with outstanding architecture old and new. The beauty of its ancient centre is preserved with its walkable medieval streets, college courts, gardens and bridges. Cambridge is a delight to visit in any season: relax in its many restaurants and cafés whilst exploring the independent shops around the historic market place.
Journey time is under an hour and you will be given maps of the city.
 
Saturday, 20th September, Holland Park station, 10:30am

SIKH TEMPLE GURDWARA, Cost: free

 

Come and join us on a guided tour through the impressive Sikh Temple "Gurdwara Khalsa Jatha" in Shepherd's Bush. On our arrival, we will be given a light refreshment followed by a tour of the Gurdwara. Afterwards a "Guru ka Langar" (Indian style cooked lunch) will be served to us all! A member of the Gurdwara will then explain aspects of Sikhism to us and you will be able to ask questions. Please let me know if you are coming as places are limited.
 
 
Thursday, 25th September, London Palladium, 7pm

MUSICAL: THE SOUND OF MUSIC, Cost: £15

 

The score for the Sound of Music touches hearts of all ages and brims over with some of the most memorable songs ever performed on the musical stage. With a special group discount for this show, you will be able to experience this theatrical masterpiece, sitting in the middle of the upper circle for only £15. (These tickets would normally cost you £35). Please reserve yours now and payment must be received before 10th September.
