Parents’ and Toddlers’ Group
Swiss mums and kids meet at the Swiss Church.
The parent & toddler’s group in the Swiss Church started in 2004. It is a popular meeting point for parents and their children who have a connection with Switzerland. There are plenty of toys for the kids and the grown-ups have the opportunity to chat over coffee and biscuits.
Sometimes we organise activities and games and sing songs together. Also Beatrice, the Swiss Church youth worker, tells stories in multiple languages giving all children a chance to interact and take part! Our conversation results sometimes in a funny mixture of languages, as the spoken languages are Swiss German, French, High German and English! We very much appreciate to be able to discuss and share life experiences in our own native language.
It is also a great opportunity for the children to practice their mother tongue.
If you are interested in joining feel free to drop in on one of our regular meetings, held every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month between 10am-12noon at the Swiss Church at 79 Endell Street.
