Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals
Baptisms
The Swiss Church welcomes families who wish to bring their child to be baptised as well as adults who seek baptism, provided that they have not been baptised before.
All baptisms take place during a normal Sunday service in the presence of the congregation.
Normally, at least one of the parents as well as one of the Godparents should be a member of a Protestant Church, preferably but not necessarily the Swiss Church.
If you are interested in a christening, please contact the Minister for an appointment.
Weddings
The Swiss Church is happy to conduct a marriage ceremony for you and its Minister is authorised to officially register a marriage if it takes place at the Swiss Church.
Marriages involve a lot of planning and we recommend that you approach the Church at least two months prior to your wedding date. Several meetings will be necessary to prepare for the wedding and a fee for non-Church members applies.
Funerals
If you want to arrange for a funeral, please contact the Minister. Funeral services can take place at the Swiss Church or at a cemetery chapel.
The Minister is here for you to discuss the funeral service and to offer you the comfort that springs from the gospel of Jesus Christ.
